Who’s organizing?
We acknowledge that the so-called city of Montréal, also known as Tiohtià:ke, and École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) are built on unceded Kanyen’kehà:ka (also known as Mohawk) territory. The people of the Kanyen’kehà:ka Nation have lived in these forests, on these plains, and around these wetlands for millennia. It's important to recognize any specific Treaties in the area and that we are all Treaty People on unceded lands. EngiQueers also recognizes the contributions and impacts of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples to this land.
EngiQueers Canada is back, organizing the 2025 edition of their award winning Conference, to further foster connections between queer students in STEM.
Over four days, industry professionals, member groups, and student leaders will transfer knowledge, discuss challenges student advocacy groups face, and provide tangible ways to address them.
Delegates will leave with the resources they need to promote EDI on campus, connect with their local community, and run a thriving and sustainable organization.
Programming for the conference will align with our three pillars :
Professional Development
Delegates will hear from industry experts and have opportunities to network with professionals in a variety of settings, including a Career Fair.
Education & Advocacy
Delegates will collaborate and discuss ways of promoting EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) in their roles as leaders in their communities.
Social Connection
The conference will be an excellent opportunity to foster connection between our members and inspire the next cohort of EQ Canada leaders.
